Casa Contenta Zihuatanejo Vacation Rental Condo

Casa Contenta is the name of your 2-bedroom vacation rental home at Casa Ceiba, a small condominium complex of 29 units and friendly people located one block from the beach known as Playa La Madera.

A comfortable king-size bed awaits you in the main bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A second, smaller bedroom with a trundle bed is suitable for one adult or two children. The additional full bathroom is convenient for guests.

The light and airy great-room has living, dining, and kitchen areas that open onto a balcony. The balcony has two seating areas and a small table to enjoy a morning coffee overlooking lush landscaping and the pool.

Other amenities include:

Kitchen equipped to cook full meals or just to prepare drinks.
Weekly housecleaning and fresh linens, including high-quality cotton sheets.
Television.
Large bottles of purified water brought to your condo as needed.
Air conditioners, ceiling fans, floor fan.
Screened bedroom windows to enjoy nighttime breezes.
One secure off-street parking space is included, but a car is not needed.
Security walls around complex and on-site management.

LA MADERA BEACH

Strolling distance to a variety of good restaurants and coffee shops in La Madera neighborhood.
A five-minute walk to La Madera Beach for swimming or sunrise/sunset views of the bay.
Shops, banks, nightlife, and more restaurants are close by in the downtown area.
The daily morning fish market on the downtown beach.
Food shopping along a nearby street lined with fruit and vegetable stalls and the Mercado Municipal, or purchase at a modern supermarket.
Boating, diving, snorkeling, whale watching and sport fishing are available.

The central downtown Cancha Municipal with frequent festivals and sporting events.
Low-season opportunities at a discounted price.
Taxis are inexpensive, with a taxi stand around the corner.
Small buses are convenient and very inexpensive.
Water taxi ride across the bay to Las Gatas Beach or take a quick taxi ride to La Ropa Beach.
Other beaches and attractions are easily reached by taxi or bus.
Casa Ceiba is quiet and peaceful amid all the nearby amenities.

Reservations

A deposit of 50% is due to secure the reservation. Remainder is due 60 days before check in date. If reservation is made in less than 60 days, the total fee is payable to secure the reservation. A damage deposit of US$300 (or the equivalent in pesos) will be collected at check in and refunded (with no damage) at check out.

Cancellations

Cancellation refunds (less 10% fee) will be given 60 days or more before reservation date. A refund of 50% will be given for cancellations requested up to 30 days before reservation date. No refunds will be given for cancellations after that date.

What an amazing condo oasis within the oasis of Zihuatanejo.

This Condo is so close to beaches, so many cool restaurants, food markets, pickleball and fun! A very comfortable and bright condo with authentic Mexican charm. The pool and area are a welcome treat from a hard day at the beach or from walking about to take in all there is in this gorgeous, very clean city. Everything is handy and friendly.

I give this a huge thumbs up. Its such a special place.

This beautiful condo is a gem, offering gracious living with access to a swimming pool in a garden setting. The living room is huge with a spacious terrace for dinning. There is a large well-appointed bedroom with a king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There is also a smaller room with a single bed.

You will also find a fully stocked kitchen complete with a gas range, an ample fridge and a microwave. It's everything you'll need.

The air-conditioning keeps the place cool. There are lots of fans and the Internet service keeps you connected. All good!

The building is located steps from a wide selection of restaurants that cater to every palette and price point. It's a ten minute walk to the mercado (open market area) and the boardwalk downtown.

The kicker? It is literally 5-minute walk to Madera Beach!

All in all, an excellent choice.

P.S. And what a wonderful treat to be able to enjoy 100% cotton sheets! So often I'm faced with those microfiber sheets - awful in a tropical climate. Horrible. So thanks!

We first met Margerie and Doug just after they purchased Casa Contenta in 2023. We enquired if they were going to be renting it out and they replied yes! We met up with them the next day and over a beer toured Casa Ceiba (the condo complex) and the actual unit. Both were amazing with lots of palm trees shading the private pool. Extremely well-maintained grounds and the location is central to everything. Casa Contenta (the unit) is nicely appointed and very quiet. We looked at other condo complexes in the area and found none that was better or more reasonably priced, so we booked a week in March 2024. When we arrived, check in was easy and there were even several beers waiting for us in the fridge. I can't complain about anything - great location, reasonably priced and great hosts.
